The seminar was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and welcomed 170 guests from across the Asia Pacific region.
Over the two days of the seminar, delegates heard from international guest speakers who shared their latest research covering topics from fibre degradation to gut health management.
Theo Niewold (KU Leuven) showcased gut health measurement and management techniques, followed by Samuel Rochell (Arkansas University) who took a closer look at interactions between nutrition and health during periods of coccidiosis challenge. Robert Hoste (Wageningen University) closed the first day by looking at the worldwide pig market.
Day two started with Markus Rodehutscord (Hohenheim University) discussed phytate degradation in pigs and poultry before Knud Knudsen (Aarhus University) spoke to the audience about the role of fibre in animal nutrition and intestinal health.
The Huvepharma® global product management team contributed with lectures on probiotics and superheros as discussed by Wouter Van der Veken, the use of enzymes for maximized animal performance and economical return by Lode Nollet, and a 360 degree view on the benefits of vitamin D given by Veerle Hautekiet.
