The platform was developed in direct response to a need expressed by our customers. It is a dynamic tool, evolving according to each user's needs. One of the latest additions to the app is the ability to log and report diagnostic findings when visiting a farm. It provides companies the ability to systematically follow up and analyse information over time or between different parts of the business.
Another feature we have developed is the expected value (or benchmark) for several health parameters which take certain background variables that influence the result of a flock (e.g. region, age, or season) into consideration. This helps customers to better understand their own results, providing context allowing them to decide whether the results should be considered good or bad.
After working with Aviapp® for broilers, Huvepharma has taken the initiative to develop Aviapp® for layers.
As layers live much longer and have a higher financial value, there is less monitoring done by means of necropsies. Aviapp® for layers has therefore been developed with a strong focus on performance parameters such as egg production and egg quality. We have also included health and animal welfare parameters. And there are parts of the broiler app which can be used in the layer app with only small adaptations. Examples are symptoms and diagnostics, treatments, and house management. Currently there are already software systems on the market which track performance, but only Aviapp® layers allows for the capturing of performance, health, management, and welfare information together in one place.
We are surrounded by data but unfortunately it often circulates in an unusable and disorganized way. That is why we have developed Aviapp®, a single database which can organize data in a standardized and uniform way, ready to be used. Huvepharma offers this platform for free, and the data remains owned by and confidential to the user. Aviapp® has proven its benefits for the broiler industry and now, with its introduction to the layer industry, we can provide a similar level of service across both industries.
